Adjusting

It seems that we are all adjusting to the new normal in out family. Alisha has recovered from delivery and is doing well adjusting to being by herself with the kids while I am at work.

I am getting back into the swing of things at work. But I have to say I love coming home.

Jade still loves her brother and enjoys being the big sister. Sometimes too much. But as long as we keep an eye on her with him, she doesn't hug him too tight.

Evan is changing every day. At his 2 week checkup he was in the 95 percentile for hight. Alisha is so excited that one of our kids might have a chance of being tall.

After 19 hours of labor, he is finally here.

Evan Micah Shumway was born 5/4/2008 at 9:15 PM. He weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz., 21 in. tall, and had a 36 cm. head and shoulders. Our big boy.

Alisha is doing well and is just happy he is out and healthy. I'm glad that we beat our last labor of 50 hours. This one was only 19. Pretty good on Alisha's part, but it still felt extremely long.

We were able to have him at the birth center and Alisha did it all without any medication.

He already is showing his personality. Even the nurses and midwives say that he is very mellow. He is also very attentive for a newborn.
